Compare product ingredients with Blume in ChatGPT
October 23, 2026 · Blume
A focused workflow for finding catalog matches, comparing available scores and keeping missing information visible.
Start with a named product
A product comparison is only useful when the records match the products you mean. Ask Blume for the brand and product name, then check the returned title, category and barcode where available. Similar names can refer to different sizes, flavors or formulations.
Inspect before comparing
Blume’s ChatGPT integration searches existing external-catalog records. Fetch each matching record before comparing its score, ingredients and available facts. It does not generate a new analysis or upload a label photo in the background.
Ask the same question of both records
Try a prompt such as: ‘Compare these two products by their available Blume scores and listed ingredients. Tell me which fields are missing.’ This keeps the comparison tied to what the catalog actually contains. A missing field should remain unknown.
Keep the packaging in view
Catalog records can lag behind a product change. Check the current package and manufacturer information before relying on an ingredient or allergen statement. A Blume score is a catalog assessment, not a guarantee of individual safety.
Availability and privacy
Directory availability is pending review. The integration page describes its current scope. Public lookups do not require a Blume account and do not access your scan history. Send a product name or barcode rather than medical information.
