What a Blume product score can tell you
October 23, 2026 · Blume
Read a product score alongside its ingredients, source limits and missing information when exploring the Blume catalog.
Use the score as an entry point
A score summarizes a product record. Blume displays an overall score where an existing analysis is available, alongside ingredient details and catalog facts. Read those details to understand what is present rather than treating the number as a complete answer.
Compare like with like
Choose products in a relevant category and inspect the exact matches. A high score for one kind of product does not answer every question about another. Ask for the available score and ingredients for each record, with unknown fields stated explicitly.
Separate facts from personal suitability
A public catalog does not know your medical history. Its score cannot guarantee that a product is suitable for a particular allergy, pregnancy or health condition. The ChatGPT integration does not ask you to provide that information.
Expect gaps
An unknown barcode or an unscored record can return no eligible product. Blume’s public tools preserve that gap. They do not silently start a scan, regenerate analysis or publish a user’s photo-derived record.
A useful follow-up
Ask: ‘Show the listed ingredients and explain which parts of this comparison are supported by the catalog.’ Then verify important details on the current packaging and with the manufacturer. See the integration page for availability and the privacy policy for data handling.
